Cosmos airdrops are free tokens offered to Cosmos users by any projects built upon the Cosmos ecosystem as a reward for their active participation in the Cosmos ecosystem.
After Osmosis and other projects airdrop their token to Cosmos users, crypto enthusiasts are becoming interested in the next Cosmos airdrop to occur.
While reading this article, you will get to know different active airdrops in the Cosmos ecosystem and tips on how to get Cosmos airdrops or claim them.
But before then, I did like to briefly let you know what the Cosmos ecosystem is all about.
What Is Cosmos?
Cosmos bills itself as a project that solves some of the “hardest problems” facing the blockchain industry. It aims to offer an antidote to “slow, expensive, unscalable and environmentally harmful” proof-of-work protocols, like those used by Bitcoin, by offering an ecosystem of connected blockchains.
The project’s other goals include making blockchain technology less complex and difficult for developers thanks to a modular framework that demystifies decentralized apps. Last but not least, an Interblockchain Communication protocol makes it easier for blockchain networks to communicate with each other — preventing fragmentation in the industry.
Cosmos’ origins can be dated back to 2014, when Tendermint, a core contributor to the network, was founded. In 2016, a white paper for Cosmos was published — and a token sale was held the following year. ATOM tokens are earned through a hybrid proof-of-stake algorithm, and they help to keep the Cosmos Hub, the project’s flagship blockchain, secure. This cryptocurrency also has a role in the network’s governance.

The active Cosmos airdrops that you can claim are listed below:
Diffusion Finance Airdrop
Diffusion Finance is a Uniswap v2 fork. It’ll be one of the first AMMs for Evmos, an EVM on Cosmos that leverages the Cosmos SDK to enable use cases around composability, interoperability, and fast-finality. It seeks to unlock the potential of combining smart-contract-based applications with the specific capabilities of other Cosmos chains to drive a new set of use cases in DeFi and beyond.
Diffusion has a maximum supply of 326 million tokens while 25 million tokens are allocated to the airdrop pool which is split into 4 different groups:
- Uniswap Community
Being a Uniswap v2 fork and wanting to bring the Uniswap community to Evmos, we will airdrop to UNI Token holders and addresses that got rekt by gas fees interacting with Uniswap. Snapshot has been taken as of Dec 31st, 2021.
- Osmo Stakers
There will be an airdrop of the token to address that delegate (stake) OSMO to these two delegates – @binaryholdings and @frensvalidator.
Snapshots have been continuously taken starting February 17th throughout February 28th and potentially beyond.
- Evmos Users
The Evmos community is ultimately the diffusion community and the success of the whole ecosystem will be essential for the success of Diffusion.
There will be an airdrop of the token to all delegators (Stakers) on Evmos and Evmos LPs on Osmosis. Details on the snapshot are yet to be announced.
- Diffusion Early Adopters
There will be a reward for the community members who support the project from the beginning. LPs and users will both be rewarded, Snapshot details and claiming process are yet to be announced.
The airdropped tokens will have linear vesting with a deadline for claiming. If they aren’t claimed by then they will be transferred to the community pool.

Cronus Airdrop
The Cronus aims to become the go-to, premier DEX on Evmos! The Cronus Airdrop is to show support towards users in the Cosmos ecosystem, as well as an appreciation for Cronus partners who have worked with the team closely, helping Cronus get more exposure in the community.
Those that are eligible for Cronus airdrop are listed below:
- Evmos Community
As Cronus is being built on Evmos, the success of the protocol is ultimately dependent on the Evmos community & ecosystem. Thus, the team will be airdropping 45k $CRN for any Evmos Stakers & LP Providers on Osmosis in a 60/40 ratio accordingly!
- JUNO Stakers
The Cronus team will also be airdropping 15k $CRN to JUNO delegators as well! All validators will be eligible.
- OSMO Stakers
There will be an airdrop of 25k Cronus tokens to addresses that delegate (stake) OSMO to @Imperator_co, @Provalidator, and @swiss_staking.
- ATOM Stakers
There will be airdrop availability of 15k Cronus tokens to ATOM stakers as well.
The Cosmos Hub has been an integral part of making all of this possible so for those who support the security of the network, it is good to show some appreciation. All validators will be eligible.
Two snapshots have been taken randomly, from March 6 to March 28! You must have staked a minimum amount of 5 JUNO/OSMO/ATOM on the snapshot date to be eligible for the airdrop. There is no snapshot for Evmos stakes/LP providers yet.

Conclusion
The Cosmos airdrops mentioned in this article are claimable by any Cosmos users that have interacted with the Cosmos protocols (either by staking, providing LP, or a validator). However, the requirements to claim were listed above.
The airdrop token is yet to be traded in the broad market as the projects are still in the development stage.
